Why does the hose behind the dryer keep crushing?

Usually because the machine sits too close to the wall. Pedestal bases make it worse. The foil flex folds into an S behind the drum. Lint settles in every fold. Check it yourself. Run the dryer. Put a hand at the exterior cap. Weak air with a hot laundry room means restriction, not a worn-out dryer.
